On June 5th, Occoneechee Lodge held a new event called THUND-O-RAMA! It was a day full of fellowship and fun between over 100 of Occoneechee Lodge’s members.

Throughout the morning we had all sorts of activities for Lodge members to participate in. Members could spend time on the rifle, archery, or slingshot range. Over on the activity field members spent time playing basketball, football and gaga ball. In the Armstrong Shelter, the AIA Committee put on a display for all in attendance to view and learn more about AIA.

Throughout the day, Occoneechee Lodge also played host to some Cub Scouts who joined us for Cub Scout OA Day. Cubs were able to spend time making crafts, learning about AIA, shooting Archery, BB Guns or Slingshots, and learning about knots.

During the afternoon Lodge members spent time participating in some games on the Activity Field, starting with 4 games of inter-chapter kickball. Following kickball, we had our annual Quest for the Golden Arrow Tournament. Lodge members competed in games such as, tug-of-war, frozen t-shirt races, spam toss, and the four man push up. Through all of these event we had some close competition, but ultimately it was Saponi Chapter that came up victorious. The event then concluded, wrapping up another great Lodge event.
