Dear Candidate,
We’re super excited that you’ll be joining us at Camp Durant for your induction into Scouting’s National Honor Society! I can’t tell you much about what you’ll experience your induction weekend but take it from me, this will be one of the most memorable weekends of your life.
I don’t want you to miss out, so make sure you read over the following instructions carefully. Check-in will begin on September 20th at 5:00 PM and you must arrive prior to 7:00 PM. Please check-in outside the camp administration building. Talk with the members of your unit to see if you can carpool to camp. The camp location can be found HERE. If your parent(s) are bringing you to camp, we have an information session for parents at the Staff Land Shelter. Ask the staff at check-in to direct your parents to the correct location.
Pack for this event like any weekend camping trip. Bring a tent, sleeping gear, rain gear, full uniform for your induction ceremony, and work clothes for service projects during the weekend. You do not need any cooking gear as all meals are provided during the weekend. You also do not need to bring a medical form if you registered online. We collected your medical information when you registered. If you have any special dietary needs, please respond to this email so we can talk about your options.
Pick up for this event is at 10 AM on Sunday. A map of Camp Durant is attached below to help pick up go smoother.
