DURHAM: Mrs. Sharon A.. McDonald, 60, died October 22, 2016. She was born in Durham, the daughter of Riley McDaniel and the late Barbara Kerr Ragen. She was active for many years as a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America and the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s Honor Society. She was first inducted into Occonechee Lodge in May of 1995. Mrs. McDonald was inducted as a Vigil Honor member on October 17th, 1999. She is the wife of past Lodge Adviser Rodney McDonald. She was awarded the Founder’s Award in 2002, one of our Order’s most prestigious awards.
In addition to her father, Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband, Rodney Franklin McDonald; two sons, Tray Boone and Brandon Riley Boone.
The family will receive friends Wednesday. October 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. No service is planned.
