Over the past month, we’ve been hard at work constructing the new “Where To Go Camping” website. This website will serve as an easy guide and forum for Scouters in Occoneechee Council and the surrounding areas. The website is open to the public and all Scouters are encouraged to participate; membership in the Order of the Arrow is not required.
As the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America, it has always been the OA mission to help promote camping within our Units and Council. This new website is a valuable tool to promote and help accomplish our mission. We encourage you to use this website and share it with your District and Unit(s); www.camping.lodge104.net.
You’ll notice when you first view it, the content is quite scarce. This website is built to rely on personal experiences to help grow its knowledge and content. We need your help to accomplish this; if everyone reading this message were to join and add two camping experiences, we’d have over 3,250 posts. Check it out and help us build on your experiences!
